Today, August 23rd, is National Sponge Cake Day. To celebrate, have this simple low fat Strawberry Shortcake.

Cook Time: 0 minutes
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
- 1 angel food cake (store bought will do)
- 8 ounces fat-free whipped topping
- 16 ounces strawberry glaze
- 2 quarts fresh strawberries
Instructions:
Cut cake into thirds, horizontally.
Place bottom back into container it came in.
Spread half of the strawberry glaze onto bottom and place middle over glazed bottom.
Spread all the whipped topping onto the middle and place top over middle piece of sponge cake.
Cut up strawberries and mix with remaining strawberry glaze.
Spread the strawberry mixture on top of cake.
