Make A Grocery List

If you are watching what you eat, counting calories or dieting, a trip to the grocery can be really challenging. All those tempting foods shelved right at eye level by your strategic grocer. This is why you need to make a grocery list and stick to it! No picking up those potato chips, which are marked down and prominently displayed at the end of an aisle. Nope. Just follow your list and you will leave the supermarket with the foods you need and not random foods loaded with empty calories!

Making a list and checking it twice is not just for St. Nick. You can and should do it too. It is really helpful if you can plan a few meals while you make your list. That way you will head home with all the necessary ingredients.

When it comes to grocery shopping I find it is also helpful to just shop the perimeter and to avoid shopping hungry.
