How Celebrities Battle Cellulite

Here’s the skinny on cellulite: Ninety percent of women have it, and they would do just about anything to get rid of it. Even Jessica Simpson admitted to being plagued by those pesky bulges as she unveiled her swimsuit line this summer, saying, “I have fat rolls, and I have cellulite here and there.”

To keep the dreaded cottage cheese thighs at bay, Jessica chooses sugar-free drinks. Dr. Lionel Bissoon, author of The Cellulite Cure, agrees with Jessica’s approach. By choosing sugar-free drinks, she prevents added toxins, like preservatives and sugar substitutes, from amassing in the body.

Meanwhile, Kate Hudson keeps fit by jogging while listening to her iPod, but Dr. Bissoon warns that exercise alone won’t rid cellulite. Thrice-weekly cardio sessions will help prevent it from forming and increase the metabolic rate of fat loss, he says.

An otherwise thin Mischa Barton proves that young women have cellulite, too. The actress eats sushi, which is low in fat, and estrogen-laden edamame, which can amp up cellulite-preventing chemicals in the body.

Pam Anderson has genetics to thank for her lean bod, but the devout vegetarian does leg lifts—which not only helps tone muscles, but also help improve circulation.
