If you don’t know already, Jessica Alba, 26, is pregnant with her first child with Cash Warren. In this week’s People magazine, she opens up about her pregnancy, cravings, and workouts.
On her body’s first changes: Within two weeks of finding out I was pregnant, I went from a 32B to a 34D. I was like, ‘Wow, where did these come from?’ It was instant. It was great, but it was shocking.
It’s more like something is taking over my body. You can’t believe you have something inside of you that’s growing. It’s the most incredible thing in the world, and at the same time, it’s very emotional and bizarre.
On her belly: I’m finally showing! I can’t wait to have a really big belly. It doesn’t feel weird, it feels normal. Gaining weight is natural and it’s what’s needed for the baby.
On her pregnancy workouts and eating habits: I do everything completely differently. Now I just do walking and stretching, treadmill, stationary bike, yoga, or Pilates instead of running and weights. I don’t have the stamina anymore. But exercise keeps me grounded and makes me feel both healthy and happy. And it’s supposed to make giving birth easier. Anything that makes that easier, I’m all for it!
I’m also eating every 4 hours. Before I got pregnant, I wouldn’t be hungry to eat that much. Now, if I don’t eat anything, I get tired and cranky. It’s like, there’s somebody here who needs food! My body isn’t mine anymore, and I’m okay with that.
On cravings: Lemonade. I drank a lot of coffee, so I’ve replaced it with lemonade. Everything smelled so strong. I had to cut out meat and cheese, but I really craved lemons.

She has been praised for her hot body, but Heroes star Ali Larter thinks a 64-year-old is sexier than she is.
The 31-year-old actress made her stunning comment after being told that she was on Shape’s the Sexiest Bodies in Hollywood List.
During an interview, Larter said she was “honoured†but she thinks that singer Nick Lachey’s girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo deserves the title and Lauren Hutton who, at 64, is nearly a pensioner.
Larter says: “I’m honored, but you better not look too close [at my body].
“Honestly, sexy isn’t just about good looks. Sexy is a beautiful laugh, a great sense of humour and self-assurance.
“If I were voting, I’d say Vanessa Minnillo has the sexiest body.
“She always looks voluptuous and gorgeous when she’s photographed on the beach or by a pool wearing a bikini.
“But I also love Lauren Hutton. She’s a self-confident woman who can sit next to the president of the United States one day and then go drinking with her motorcycle buddies the next.
“Now that’s really sexy.â€
Larter, who plays Niki Sanders in hit TV series Heroes, is featured on the cover of the March edition of Shape magazine.
Dressed in a pink, crochet, string bikini the cover girl tells readers inside that she has “never been happier than I am right now.â€
“I think you look more youthful when you’re happy,†Larter says. “I’m finally comfortable in my own skin.â€
She then shares the eight fitness and beauty tips that have helped her to get to that point in her life.
Some of her tips are no surprise - exercise and moderate eating - but other revelations prove that she didn’t follow the Hollywood treadmill to success.

Beyonce Knowles is known for her curvaceous body. It is important for her to stay in shape for her stage work as well as her film work. She sticks to a strict low calorie, low fat, and low carb diet. She eats alot of green vegetables and avoids red meat, bread, and alcohol.
Beyonce fits in exercise by dancing, running, and lifting light weights.
“I workout five times a week. I get up in the morning at around 8.30. I eat my cereal and I let it digest, then I do cardio for half an hour, followed by free weights for about 45 minutes.â€
“Changing it up keeps me from being bored out of my mind. Plus, you burn more calories that way.”

Anne Hathaway has always been one to stay in shape, but believes obsessing about weight is a waste of time. Anne is currently a vegetarian and avoids eating bad food. She eats healthy and organic foods.
“I exercise four times a week whenever I can fit it into my schedule. I usually do cardio. About three times a week I run, I do interval running for about half an hour which is you walk for a minute and a half, run for a minute, walk for a minute, sprint for a minute. It’s great because it keeps your heart rate up but you don’t get tired so you can do it for longer and it’s a lot easier on your joints. On a treadmill usually but I try to go outside when I can.â€
“Then I do core strength training with weights and everything. I do this one really fun thing where there is this huge enormous weight with two ropes tied to it and you have to pull it and it’s called ‘the sled’. It’s ridiculous. And I also do kick boxing. When I have time I like to incorporate a few dance classes in there and Pilates, yoga is really important but I work out with a trainer at Peak Performance in New York.â€

Courtney Thorne Smith is this month’s cover girl of FitPregancy magazine. Courtney is pregnant with her first child and talks to about how she is staying in shape even while pregnant and how she kicked a bad exercise habit.
Have you been working out? Well, I used to be a compulsive exerciser, but I’m over that. For the past several years, I’ve been walking 40 minutes and doing Pilates and yoga stretches at home, so that’s what I’m doing now. I used to run 8 miles a day, then go to the gym, do weights and then yoga, until I realized that I was so hungry and tired all the time. So I stopped doing all that and started just walking. I feel so much freedom now: I don’t have to stay in a hotel with a gym and I’m never so hungry that I panic.
A lot of women are in a crazy exercise cycle; they’re so afraid they’ll gain weight if they stop, and it’s especially hard when they get pregnant. What they need to realize is that if you’re not exercising so much, you don’t have to eat so much, and your body adjusts. It sounds so simple, but you really do have to listen to your body.
How are you feeling about your body now? I feel great: I wanted this so badly. One day I was with one of my friends, and I was rubbing my belly, and she asked me, “How does it feel?†I told her, “It feels really good.†And she said, “Great! I hope you keep rubbing your belly with love even after the baby is born.†And that was so powerful, because my belly has always been the spot I obsess over.
I have come to appreciate my body so much—and I think that’s why I was able to get pregnant, because of that appreciation. Now, the baby is kicking and it’s all working. It’s a miracle what this body can do, and I want to treat it with respect, always, even when I’m not pregnant. And it gets better and better: I know I had a better body when I was 20, but I hated it so much that it feels better now.

Keri Russell is on the cover of Self Magazine’s December 2007 issue and inside she tells all the specifics about her amazing weight loss after the birth of her first child. Check out the highlights below:
What was the secret to getting your body back so quickly? “I stayed really physical during my pregnancy. I stuck to my normal pre-pregnancy workout, minus the stomach exercises, and twisting. I really felt it helped my whole well-being. Ideally, I do pilates, usually on the reformer, for an hour every other day. And I walked almost every morning in this hilly park near our apartment. I did two laps, or 20 minutes, at a pretty good clip, arms pumping, the whole deal. The nerdy mom walk! I really felt pretty strong and energized until maybe the last month, and I felt great about my growing body. C’mon, I had boobs for the first time! Awesome!â€
Have you lost all the baby weight already? “I think I gained around 25 pounds. I haven’t lost it all, but I feel good about the way I look. Things are definitely less toned now. Hello flabby butt! However, I do feel good about my shoulders and arms. All that baby lifting and carrying leaves you with some pretty toned upper arms.â€
Have you started working out again? “I don’t really have time for the workouts I did pre-baby, but I do walk everywhere.. Not my focused power walk but a general, all-day, park-coffee shop, laundromat, grocery store, subway stairs walk, all while carrying a baby. Babies seem small, but I gotta tell ya, they get heavy after an hour! And I still try to take a private pilates class once a week. I do see some general toning. I’d see more results if I could make it more than once a week, but you know….â€
Have you changed your diet at all? “It’s hard to sit down and make a perfectly healthy meal with a baby who needs constant attention, so for breakfast, I put him in the sling, and walk to the coffee shop, where I get eggs, toast and salad. At home, I just wolf down whatever I can find while he’s sleeping. So it’s like, ‘What do we have? Cereal! And tuna fish! Great!’ Or I’ll eat last night’s leftover Middle Eastern takeout, cold. I’m breast feeding, so I try to eat something other than brownies all day. I attempt to incorporate healthy stuff. I take vitamins, an, thankfully, I actually started liking vegetables a couple of years ago.â€
How do you keep a positive body image? “Look, I’m naturally thin, so I don’t have to work out too hard at it. I love food, but I also love to work out. I think it makes everything work better. But I also think surrounding yourself with people who are cool helps. I have really great girlfriends, and no one’s too hung up about that stuff.â€
What’s the best change in your life since becoming a mom? “Being less worried about the way I look. You’re just instantly less self absorbed. Before, I was in the habit of straightening my hair, but now when I have thirty five minutes to myself, I want to out it in a bun and sleep or go for a walk. There’s no room, no time, no energy for vanity anymore.â€

Getting in shape for a big event like a class reunion or a wedding is one thing. But prepping for Playboy definitely raises the bar a few notches.
To get Kim Kardashian buff for the December shoot, Kathy Kaehler developed a no-fuss training program that doesn’t require any special weight-training equipment yet still is very effective.
Kim wanted to focus on her arms, legs and famous backside. So in addition to her working out on the elliptical trainer and walking every day, she followed the toning program Kathy devised to target her hot spots. You can do it too, right at home. Here’s how:
Lunges. Start by standing up straight with your hands at your sides. Take a big step forward with your right leg, lowering the body until your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Straighten back up and repeat on the left side. Do three sets of 10 repetitions with each leg.
Sit-down squats. Start by standing in front of a chair and then sit down on the seat and stand back up. Do three sets of 15 reps.
Arm and leg opposition. Start on the floor on your hands and knees. Lift the right arm up and extend the left leg back so that both are parallel to the floor. Keep your abs tight and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat with the opposite arm and leg.
Push-ups. If you can’t do military push-ups in good form, modify your technique by pushing up from your knees. Do three sets of 10 reps.
Triceps dips. Position yourself in front of a sturdy chair so that your arms are behind you with your palms grabbing the edge of the seat. Scoot your legs out in front. Now lower your upper body until your upper arms are parallel to the floor and then press back up. Do two sets of 12 reps.
Do this program a few times a week and you’ll be in shape for your big reveal, too – even if it’s just between you and your special someone.

Carrie Underwood has a secret for eating healthy: accountability!
“I’m slightly obsessive-compulsive about what I eat, more than I should be. I write down everything I eat,” the American Idol, 24, champ dishes in Glamour magazine’s January issue. “I started doing it last year. And in the last year is when I’ve gotten more healthy and lost weight.”
What does she eat? Well, no meat. She’s been a vegetarian since age 13. (Listen up, Chace Crawford: “I don’t think I could kiss someone after they ate a hamburger ’cause they would probably taste like it, and that would gross me out,” she tells Glamour.)
Underwood also says she she enjoys cardio and “that big exercise ball.”
